TSB Bank - superior customer care

TSB Bank has been around for more than 165 years, we now have more clients, more branches across New Zealand and even better ways to bank.

We were founded in the 1850’s and have always put our customers first and continue to do so, it will remain the heart of our being in existence. We come from humble beginnings in New Plymouth; we’ve gone from strength to strength as we offer a truly wonderful service nationally. No matter where you are from Cape Reinga or the Bluff TSB will assist you in reaching your goals.

TSB offers a freedom you can rely on

When the government recommended a union of all 12 independent banks in New Zealand in 1985, we just knew it wasn’t going to be in the best interests of our clientele.

Other banks, as well as the government, put a lot of pressure on TSB Bank with regards to the merge; the pressure was actually quite intense. But needless to say, we stood our ground and we were not going to give in, so the merger went ahead without us. A few years down the line it faltered and was then sold off to a big Australian bank.

So at the end of the day, it worked out perfectly for the TSB Bank as we grew stronger and our aim was to assist New Zealander to reach their financial goals. As we stand today, we are still making the decisions in the best interest of our clients. The TSB has been recognized for our customer services and for putting our customers first, and that’s the way it’s always been.
